Harikhali is an eastern forest ecotourism camp name you may hear when operators plan longer days or routes that work toward the Bangladesh border sector of the delta — always on the Indian permit grid, never as a casual cross-border stop.
It is not a substitute for gateway towns like Dayapur or Godkhali. You still sleep in a lodge, board a registered boat, and visit camps only for the minutes rangers allow.
Harikhali suits repeat visitors who have already climbed Sudhanyakhali and walked Dobanki and want quieter creek time. Wildlife and weather decide the mood. Confirm the camp is on your written itinerary before you pay a deposit.

Frequently asked questions
- Is Harikhali on a standard 1-day Sundarban safari?
- Usually no. Harikhali appears on extended or eastern-sector itineraries when STR route plans, tide, and boat quotas allow — not on the classic Sajnekhali–Sudhanyakhali–Dobanki loop alone.
